Our estate, Azienda Agricola Ferreri, covers 50 hectares (about 120 acres) on different hillsides from 250 - 500 meters above sea level thus capturing the tastes and flavors of different climates. Our specially selected grapes arrive at the winery to be crushed and then vinified combining advanced methods and technologies with the most traditional Sicilian wine tradition. The wine is stored in a temperature and humidity controlled room and then refined and aged in French oak barriques then bottles. Select wines are aged in chestnut, the traditional wood of Sicilian winemaking. The generosity of our terroir, in synergy with the modern farming systems and the wine growing and production traditions of our forefathers offers unique products. Thanks to the attention devoted to every single plant and every bunch of grapes, distinctive as well as classically typical wines are obtained. We also aim to give attention to the indigenous grapes of Nero d'Avola, Catarratto, Inzolia, and Zibibbo and to adopt those international grapes that have adapted to our terroir such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay.
